How to Keep Your Skin Radiant All Year Long

Beauty Bar & Supply blog on radiant skin in all seasons

Everyone wants glowing, healthy skin all year long. But with the changing of the seasons, it can be difficult to maintain that same level of radiance. Luckily, there are a few simple steps you can take to help keep your skin looking its best all year round. Let’s take a look at some of the best tips and tricks for keeping your skin luminous and radiant in any season.

Cleansing and Exfoliating

Regularly cleansing and exfoliating your skin is an essential first step toward achieving glowing skin year-round. Cleansing removes dirt and impurities from the surface of your skin while exfoliating helps to remove dead skin cells that can cause dullness and uneven texture. Be sure to use gentle cleansers and exfoliators twice daily so as not to strip away too much natural oil from your skin. Grapeseed oil is also a natural makeup remover. NOW Vitamin C & Manuka Honey Gel Cleanser is another gentle cleanser for combination and dry skin that helps to improve minor color imbalances and scarring. And remember: always cleanse before bedtime! This will help prevent makeup or another residue from clogging pores overnight.

Moisturizing

Moisturizing is key for keeping your skin looking healthy, regardless of the season. The type of moisturizer you use should depend on your skin type; if you have dry or sensitive skin, opt for a heavier moisturizer that is specifically formulated for those needs. Oil-based moisturizers are great for locking in moisture without feeling greasy or heavy on the face. If you have oily or combination skin, choose light lotions or gels that won’t clog pores or leave behind a greasy residue. NOW Vitamin C & Sea Buckthorn Moisturizer is good for combination and dry skin.  And don't forget about sunscreen! Make sure to apply SPF every day—it's just as important in winter months as it is in summer months—to protect against harmful UV rays that can cause age spots and wrinkles over time.

Protect Against Pollution

Pollution is one of the leading causes of dullness and uneven tone in the complexion—so it’s important to protect yourself against it whenever possible! Wear hats, scarves, sunglasses, and protective clothing when outdoors (especially during rush hour) to help reduce exposure to airborne pollutants like smoke, dust particles, car exhaust fumes, etc., which can accumulate on our faces throughout the day and lead to premature aging over time. You may also want to look into products like anti-pollution sprays or creams that help create a barrier between your face and environmental toxins like smog or ozone gas pollution.

Taking care of our skin shouldn't be seasonal; rather it should be something we prioritize all year long if we want beautiful results! Following these simple steps - cleansing & exfoliating regularly; moisturizing; protecting against pollution - will ensure that our complexions stay healthy & radiant whatever time of year it may be! Though our skincare routine may need tweaking depending on what season we're in (for instance switching up products when transitioning from summer into fall/winter), by following these basic principles we'll have gorgeous glowing skin no matter what!
